The Whitefish Voter Review Commission needs your help. Every 10 years, voters decide if they want to review the form of their local government. This year, Whitefish voters approved a review. The city has self-governing powers with a charter form of government (City Charter). We have three options:
1) adopt a new form of self-government allowed by the Montana Constitution
2) propose amendments to the current charter, or
3) make recommendations to the City Council
Any changes to the current form will be voted upon. Your input on what works and what doesn’t in our current system is essential.
