FUTURE LAND USE SURVEY FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
We need your input on future land use for Whitefish!
The City of Whitefish is updating its Future Land Use Plan as part of the Vision Whitefish 2045 Growth Policy effort. This plan is one element of the city’s long-range plan and includes a future land use map that displays how different parts of the community might evolve over the next 20 years. It helps provide a framework for future planning and zoning decisions and will guide how growth and change are managed thoughtfully over time.
Our first land use visioning survey invites you to share how you see different parts of Whitefish today and what you envision for them in the future. You’ll be asked to consider the character of key areas and streets — what makes them feel the way they do now, and how they could evolve to reflect our community’s values. This online engagement serves as a companion to the September land use visioning workshops - closely related in purpose but distinct in format. It expands participation for those that were not able to attend and helps verify and enrich the insights gathered during the in-person sessions.
The survey takes about 10–15 minutes to complete and will be open until Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Your participation will help ensure the updated plan reflects the values and character that make Whitefish unique. Your input now will shape the foundational map we use moving forward. In the next engagement round, we’ll share an updated iteration for you to review, confirm, and fine-tune.
Thank you for your contribution!
